Spaced Repetition
Planner
A free spaced repetition planner that works out your revision dates for you. Five spaced returns beat ten crammed ones, and the spaced version takes less total time. Put in what you covered and when, and this gives you the five dates you come back on — then tells you what is due today.

Your ladders
Each return should start with a Recall Gap, not a re-read. Shut the book, look away, and say what it covered from memory alone. Two minutes. It will feel uncomfortable and incomplete, and that discomfort is the entire mechanism working.
The gaps you find are not evidence that you failed to learn. They are the map of what to look at next — then you open the book and check, and only then.
How this is worked out
- The five returns are the next day, three days, a week, a fortnight and a month after the date you covered it. Widening gaps, on purpose — each one is harder to retrieve than the last, and that difficulty is what makes it stick.
- Tick a rung when you have done it. Nothing reschedules itself if you miss one; a late return is still a return, and it is worth more than an abandoned ladder.
- Anything overdue shows in orange rather than being hidden. There is no streak here to break.
- Five returns spread over a month total roughly ten minutes of work. The same material crammed into one evening takes longer and holds worse.
- Your ladders are saved in this browser on this device only. Nothing is uploaded. "Clear them all" wipes them.
